I'm Allie, an employment and commercial lawyer, and the director of Sinclair + May. I work with small business clients across a range of industries and help them to understand their legal obligations, avoid problems, and be a friendly sounding board when they find themselves in a pickle. I can create, fix or help you understand your contracts, work through your options when it comes to a challenging employee, help you understand a tricky Award clause, or whatever other employment/IR issue has you stumped.
My job is to keep up to date with the law so you don't have to - and in this area, it's nuanced, and things change a fair bit. I pride myself on being both approachable and friendly, but commercially minded too. Nobody calls a lawyer because they're having a good day, but I aim to make the process as helpful and pleasant as possible - and most people come back, which is a good sign!
Outside of lawyering, I'm mum to Paddy and Ben the human kids, Sophia the toy poodle, Paddy the old poodle-y dog, and wife to Damien the teacher. Yes, we adopted a dog with the same name as our son, and yes, it is confusing!
