Sounding Board – Managing Workplace Conflict

Are you dealing with tensions or conflict between team members in the workplace and are not quite sure about how to have a difficult or sensitive conversation with employees? Let me guide you through the approaches to negotiate difficult workplace conversations in a measured and open manner and help you to better understand the factors that contribute to workplace conflict.

I am a Senior Human Resource (HR) Management Consultant with extensive experience in navigating challenging workplace discussions about workplace conflict, performance, change, conduct and culture. I have worked with managers and senior staff across medium and small organisations in the public and private sector.

My key areas of expertise are:
- Provision of support and advice to managers on performance, conduct or workplace conflict issues
- Provision of mediation services or facilitated discussions between employees to enable understanding of individual perspectives and finding ways to work together
- Facilitation of discussions on workplace bullying and harassment, including what it is and isn’t bullying and harassment (including sexual harassment)
- Facilitation of group discussions/focus groups to identify issues around organisational culture and identification of stepping-stones to strengthen culture, and
- Investigation of and provision of advice on workplace matters.

Included:
- Up to 60 minutes verbal advice, delivered via Microsoft Teams or over the phone
- Once I have accepted your Booking Request, I will send you a link to Teams meeting or call you on the number provided within two business days
- No written advice will be provided as this is a high level sounding board discussion to enable you to consider options

Other things to note
- Prior to our scheduled meeting, please send me a message with a high-level overview of the issue that you would like to discuss, e.g. I have employees who refuse to work together – what can I do?, together with a brief summary of your type of organisation, and the nature of the employment relationship (contract, award, agreement)
- Please do not provide identifying personal information about individuals and keep the message general to the extent possible
