Preparation of Brief | Unfair Dismissal Application

Receiving an unfair dismissal application can be incredibly stressful and distracting for businesses + more often than not, the key, relevant information required in order to obtain succinct and timely legal advice from an employment lawyer isn't all on-hand and/or may sit with multiple parties within the business.

I am able to support from an outsourced HR perspective and help streamline the process by compiling a "brief" (summary of all key facts) for your business, including all the key information related to the applicant (employees) employment and alleged dismissal so you have the necessary facts on hand in an easy-to-read, simple format in order to engage and seek advice from an employment lawyer.

This pre-work will provide a neat 'snapshot' of the key facts and allow the employment lawyer to go 'deeper' on your call and provide more comprehensive advice from the outset, rather than spending the call asking you for information you dont have readily available.

Package inclusions:

*Up to 30 minute Verbal Call | This will be to gather key information and facts relating to the applicant and their alleged dismissal. We would discuss matters such as contract terms/award coverage, role type, length of employment, pay rates and standard hours/shifts, as well as flesh out the key conversations (written/verbal) related to the alleged dismissal. A list of information/documents to be provided by you to compile the brief will be sent via email following this call e.g. contract of employment, payslips, relevant email correspondence etc.

*1 hour Document Review | Review of the key materials/information provided (above).

*2 hour Preparation of Brief | Sent via email, ready for you to share with an employment lawyer (or we can share on your behalf if you Book a Call with an employment lawyer on the workchapters Platform).

If you have any questions above this package, feel free to send me a message via 'Contact' under my profile picture.

*Note. For any additional work e.g. calls/meetings with key staff members/potential witnesses and/or drafting submissions, I can compile a separate, customised package for this work. This package does not include any legal advice (services by a HR Consultant) and any advice with a workchapters employment lawyer on this platform will be charged as a separate package. Time allocations within the package may vary depending on the approach needed for the particular matter.

Services provided by Workchapters Pty Ltd (ABN 19 653 314 277).
